There are many electric miter saws on the market with numerous capabilities. Here are shown two basic economy models by reliable manufacturers, as well as two best selling models with more capability. Use a good carbide blade with these tools and you will get clean, accurate cuts. Always be VERY CAREFUL with these machines.

The expensive units have sliding mechanisms that allow you to pull the motor and blade toward you like a radial arm saw. They can easily be set for compound miter cuts which makes them very useful for carpenters in the trade. If you are just fitting moldings in your house or doing occasional things in the shop, the economical models will suit most of your needs.

An even less expensive way to go is to get a hand miter box, which you can see at handsaws.
